From a very young David has been a keen photographer starting with a Zenith TTL and progressing onto a Canon AE1.  Originally coming from a North Devon farming family, David is a fifth generation farmer, and along with his wife (and their five children) farm Organically in Mid Devon, near Exeter.

As the children became older David revived his passion for photography and soon achieved his Licentiate at the Royal Photographic Society and in June 2018 gained his Associateship in Fine Art.  He joined Exeter Camera Club one of the oldest and largest clubs in the southwest, and after several years he joined the committee as Competition Secretary and soon afterwards became vice president, then President and presently Outgoing Vice President.

David became a judge for the Western Counties Photographic Federation (WCPF) and now judges club competitions throughout the area, as well as occasionally giving talks.
